Call for IBIS related patent disclosures:

- Mike: We could ask Dorothy.

Bob Ross seconded the motion. Without objection minutes were approved.

ARs:

- Mike LaBonte to complete BIRD appendix for parser contract.
  - No progress

New IBISCHK bugs:
- Mike showed an example AMI with Corner as a parameter name.
- Mike: Should we disallow Corner and other reserved words as the name
  of parameters?
- Bob: It depends on what Corner means in AMI.
- Lance: Corner is a Format, so it can't be used us a name.
- Mike: Theoretically we could allow this, but in most languages that would
  be considered a bad practice.
- Bob: We allow anything for Model_Specific parameter names.
- Mike: We call it a "reserved word" without saying what that means.
  - Some parsers might reject it.
- Bob: We could say that names can not be reserved words.

- Mike showed the bug list.
- Mike: Bug 161 reported this problem.
  - It tested all possible AMI reserved words as Model_Specific parameter names.
  - It is closed now.

- Mike showed IBISCHK BUG 161.
- Bob: In BUG 161 we determined that reserved words are legal as
  Model_Specific parameter names.
- Lance: Table and Format are commented out in the testcase.
- Mike: The bug says there is a problem when they are uncommented.
- Bob: That bug was filed Apr 2015. There might be minutes from that time
  discussing this.
- Lance: It should be clarified in the specification that this is allowed.
- Mike: We should find out if any existing parsers might have trouble with
  reserved words as parameter names.
- Bob: We could ask privately.
- Mike explained the nature of BUG 161, which was written to show a
  different problem.
  - We should discuss the rationale for accepting reserved words before
    deciding to write BIRD.

AR: Mike search IBIS Quality minutes for discussions of IBISCHK bug 161.

IBISCHK7 parser development:
- No discussion

- Lance Wang moved to adjourn. Bob Ross seconded.
